Focused, determined and friendly are a few words that describe Xavier Harris, a senior at Mississippi State who exudes leadership qualities. As the son of a military family, Harris has lived in locations all around the world—from Hawaii to Japan—but claims Mississippi as home.

When choosing a college Taylor Steffen only had two requirements: a good engineering school and a place for her on the football field. She found both of these at State. A sophomore in mechanical engineering, Steffen is the only female manager for the MSU football team.

The Space Cowboys placed fifth out of 25 teams from across the nation. The team also won the Design Review Award for the best combination of written reviews and formal presentations during competition.
